Message	it operates with. If vacuum supplied the diaphram should hold and not loose vacuum. This is a simple check to do. Since the NA plenum operates under vacuum when engine is running to at most atmospheric pressure when under hard acceleration,the pressure test you describe appears non conclusive for the EGR to me.
